Electrical Test and Tag Labels
Do you require a heavy duty, durable electrical test and tag label?
Electrical testing tags need to be durable, legible, non-re-usable, non metallic and may be colour coded to identify the period in which the test was performed but this is not compulsory. They can be in any size or colour providing the information is easy to read. All electrical testing tags must have the following information printed or written on it:
- The name of the person or company who performed the test
- The test or inspection date
- The re-test date
- Australian Reference Standard AS/NZS 3760:
Some regulatory authorities or other standards such as AS/NZS 3012 and the AS/NZS ISO 9000 series, may require other inspection and test record information to be kept.
New Equipment tags should include the following information:
- Wording ” New to Service”
- Date of entry to service
- Date when next test is due
- Statement ” this appliance has not been tested in accordance with AS/NZS 3760:
